Bolivia taxes employment income with the RC-IVA, a flat 13% charge rather than a banded scale. Enter a salary and the calculator applies the 13% above the non-taxable minimum, deducts the 12.71% employee pension contribution and the Aporte Nacional Solidario on higher salaries, and shows your net pay. The tax figure is an upper bound, for reasons set out below.

The non-taxable minimum is set at two national minimum wages. With the 2026 minimum wage at Bs3,300 a month, the first Bs79,200 of annual pay is untaxed and everything above it is charged at 13%, with no higher bands to climb into. Pension contributions of 12.71% are made up of 10% old age, 1.71% common risk, 0.50% administrator commission and 0.50% solidarity aporte, and are charged on pay up to Bs198,000 a month, or Bs2,376,000 a year.
Higher salaries also carry the Aporte Nacional Solidario, charged on monthly pay above Bs13,000: 1.15% on the slice up to Bs25,000, 5.74% up to Bs35,000 and 11.48% above that, annualised in this model. The RC-IVA figure itself needs care. On a real payslip the 13% is worked out after the pension contributions come off, and the result is then cut by an automatic credit of Bs429 a month and by 13% of the VAT invoices (facturas) the employee hands in. None of that is modelled here, so the tax shown is the highest the RC-IVA could be, and employees who present enough invoices can bring it down to zero.
