Krynto figures are estimates built on a standard case. This page states, in full, what that case assumes and what every calculator leaves out. Last updated: October 2026.
Unless a page says otherwise, every figure on Krynto describes the same person: a single employee, paid a salary for a full tax year, with no dependants, no second income and no personal circumstances that change the tax bill. Only the standard allowance or standard deduction for that country is applied. Nothing else is claimed for anyone whose situation differs.
Each country page carries a box titled "What this calculator leaves out" listing the simplifications for that country in particular. Read it before relying on a figure, and read the methodology page for the known simplification classes that apply across countries.
Tax is always computed in the country's own currency first. Where a page converts a result into another currency, it uses a dated snapshot of reference rates: European Central Bank reference rates plus the open.er-api snapshot for currencies the ECB does not publish, dated 28 October 2026 and refreshed monthly. These are not live market rates, and a conversion is an aid to comparison, not a quote.
Governments change rates, bands and ceilings, sometimes mid-year and sometimes with effect from a date already past. Krynto checks each country's rates against official sources and stamps the check date on the page (current set: October 2026), but a figure can fall behind a recent legal change. For a filing, a contract or any decision with money attached, confirm the current position with the official tax authority or a qualified tax professional in that country.
